Emergency Assistance is provided for individuals who are homeless or in danger of becoming homeless.
Must be homeless or in danger of becoming homeless. May be eligible if you are currently receiving TANF, SSI, or General Assistance. See Board of Social Services to determine eligibility.
Some benefits include essential food, clothing, shelter and household furnishings, temporary rental assistance or back rent or mortgage payments, utility payments (such as heat, water, electric), transportation to search for housing, and moving expenses.
Emergency Assistance is available for a maximum of 12 months per person's lifetime.
